Charles Radet (1777-1842) and his wife Marie-Thérèse Richon (1783-1838) were my “7th generation” grandparents. They lived in Fère-Champenoise (51, Marne département) (photos below: Wikipedia).


During the Battle of Fère-Champenoise, Napoléon Ier Bonaparte spent the night in that same city, on March 18, 1814. I wonder if they saw him.
